Situated about 35 kilometers from Batam City, it’s a top destination for tourists. We arrived in the late afternoon, just before heading to Barelang Seafood Restaurant—one of the island’s largest and most well-known spots for seafood dining. Stretching 642 meters, this striking cable-stayed bridge links Batam Island with Tonton Island and is the longest among the six bridges that make up the Barelang chain. Its graceful structure, often compared to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, offers breathtaking views of the coastal landscape.
