#KanchanaburiTravel ⸻ 🌊 Review: Paddle boarding in Sangkhla Buri – When the river becomes the heart On this trip, Bear was not in a hurry I did not set a goal to go anywhere I just wanted to take myself to a small riverside town called “Sangkhla Buri” And let my heart slowly flow with the current …just like when we were standing on the paddle board ⸻ 🛶 Starting point: Slow morning on the bank Early morning, Bear arrived at the pier on the bank. The Songkhla River was still A thin mist floated above the water surface. The sound of birds and long-tail boats in the distance helped to soothe my heart The local staff prepared the paddle board The ordinary flat rubber sheet turned out to be a vehicle of peace that day ⸻ 🏄♂️ Paddle out into the middle of the river At first, Bear was worried that he would fall… But when I started, I found that “standing on the water” was calmer than I thought. No sound of cars, nothing to rush. Just the cool water flowing under my feet. A pale sky with trees along the shore and sunlight that wasn’t too strong. ⸻ 🛕 Driving past a sunken church One of the points that made my heart calm down unknowingly is the image of an old underwater church (underwater temple) that partially emerged from the water. The old roof structure covered in moss is like a reminder that “everything in this world changes with time.” And we just paddled past it lightly. ⸻ 📸 The angle that I want to keep in my heart: • Looking back, I saw the Mon Bridge from the middle of the water. It looked still, like a painting. • The fog that caught the ends of the trees by the water, like a scene in a silent movie. • The slanted morning light made everything look surprisingly gentle. ⸻ 🌱 My feelings after paddling I didn’t just go paddling a boat. But it was like I absorbed the slowness of life. And I understood that…sometimes “Being in the rhythm of nature” is a healing that is deeper than words.
