Visited the Site of the Council of Ephesus

📍Ephesus Ruins (Efes) Famous for the Council of Ephesus, which is often mentioned in world history, I visited the ancient city of Ephesus. This is an archaeological site that features various facilities from the ancient Greek and Roman eras. The remnants of its prosperity and its overwhelming presence left me in awe. The renowned Library of Celsus is so magnificent that just gazing at its facade made the visit worthwhile. The Great Theater, with its acoustics so precisely designed that a single clap echoes impressively, was another highlight. In addition to temples and fountains dedicated to various emperors, there are also public toilets and baths, giving a real sense of how people lived here. Although most of the buildings were destroyed by earthquakes, one can only imagine how incredible the city would have been if fully restored. You can reach the nearby town of Selçuk from Izmir by national railway, so I highly recommend a visit. 🐈 ⚠️ The site is vast, and the white ruins reflect sunlight, making it extremely hot. I suspect many visitors suffer from heatstroke (in fact, emergency numbers are posted on various signs).
