Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Lespas Champagne Set (Cold Cut, Cheese Platter & Homemade Chocolate Platter)

#IndoorDate I enjoyed a champagne set at Sofitel's lobby lounge, Lespas. There are three versions: caviar palette, cold cuts, cheese platter, and handmade chocolate platter. Of these, I reserved the cheese platter that comes in a drawer case. I was happy because it looked similar to the drawer-type afternoon tea tray I experienced at Osaka Swissotel from the first released photo~! The champagne set is available from 7pm. Although it is not afternoon tea (while maintaining the afternoon tea feel), it consists of cheese, fruit, and charcuterie. Along with a surprise event, Sommelier Jeong Ha-bong, who is in charge of the food and beverage here, suddenly appears. It has been two months since we greeted each other when we enjoyed Le Goute in October. This was a time when I could give a general explanation of the newly released champagne set, and get a glimpse into the future plans, hints about the cherry blossom season, and the world of champagne that Lespas will lead. The champagne included in the champagne set is Piper-Heidsieck's Essential Cuvee Reserve, which is the next level of Cuvee Brut that is widely available on the market. I've tried Cuvee Brut about four times, and the Reserve feels a bit deeper and smoother. I got to experience two of the three champagne sets. First, the cold cuts and cheese platter is in the form of a four-tier lunch box-like drawer, and its diverse composition stands out. A mixed cheese platter with honey, various pickled side dishes such as olives and cherry tomatoes, four types of fruits, and four types of charcuterie fill the four drawers. The sweetness of the fruits was a bit disappointing, and it is a basic side dish that goes well with wine, so it is not a meal replacement as it is an appetizer or something that can be eaten simply. It is good to enjoy as a second course after dinner, but the time at 7 o'clock may be ambiguous. There are also various meal menus, so you can eat together or choose a meal first and have your first and second rounds here. The chocolate platter made of Bonbon chocolate is provided by Jardin d'Iver, which is in charge of the bakery of Sofitel, and it is full of Christmas feeling to match the festive season. I am very touched by the efforts they put in to create the end-of-year mood, including the performance of falling snow flowers and the Ferris wheel music box (which is also included in the winter season of Le Gouté). The Bonbon chocolate here is truly a work of art, so I highly recommend it. Since the Chanel Ice Rink opened at the same time, the dazzling Chanel view is also spread out. I have used both Le Gouté Seoul in Paris and Paris in Seoul during the day, and went to Club Millésime and Latitude 32 on the 32nd floor for dinner.
