A day at the Alcazar Palace in Seville

When I reached the courtyard (Patio de las Doncellas) beyond the white pillars, I was speechless. The shallow water cut through the center of the garden, and the patterns reflected on it gave the illusion of time flowing. This was a space to walk in silence. No words were needed. The garden that led to the back was another world. The tall trees and symmetrical paths, the scent of oranges and the sounds of birds from afar, and the sound of a quietly flowing fountain. When I climbed up the small tower in the garden and looked down at the city, I felt like I was the owner of this palace for that moment. After walking for a long time, I was suddenly surprised that all of this was a real space.
