Shanghai Bund Huajiantang · Yuyuan: A High-Value Hotel in Shanghai

I stayed at the artistically styled Huajiantang · Yuyuan for a few nights and was very pleased with my choice. Initially, I hesitated due to the slightly higher price, but it turned out to be worth it. Considering its quality and prime location, the average cost of about 600 RMB per night per person is quite reasonable. We were a group of three and stayed in a Superior Family Room. The room was spacious, measuring 45 square meters, and although there was no view outside the window, it still felt very comfortable. The room featured a long sofa, modular cabinets, and a homely vibe. The wall behind the bed was adorned with floral murals, adding an artistic and beautiful touch. The bathroom was designed with separate wet and dry areas. The highlight was the large bathroom, which included a full-length mirror. Outside the bathroom, there was a vanity table with light bulbs and a place to hang clothes. When the bedroom door was closed, it felt like a spacious walk-in closet, which women would absolutely love. Additionally, the bathroom had a heated towel rack, giving it a luxurious feel 😊😊. The hotel is conveniently located near the Bund, just a 5-10 minute walk to the Bund and Yuyuan shopping area. It’s also close to the entrances of Metro Line 10 and Line 14, making transportation very convenient. Staying here allowed me to explore the Bund and Yuyuan shopping area both in the morning and evening, and I could take a break after walking around Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street before heading out for dinner again. The hotel lobby and restaurant are situated on the 7th floor, featuring large windows that let in plenty of natural light. From the windows, you can enjoy a distant view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. On the 11th-floor rooftop garden, you can see both the Oriental Pearl Tower and the skyscrapers of Lujiazui. If you don’t feel like going out, this spot is perfect for taking photos. As for the hotel’s service, all staff members were very attentive. Not only were the front desk staff helpful, but even the cleaning staff and doormen were friendly and polite. Additionally, the hotel offers free guided tours and DIY activities, giving it a vibe similar to Taiwanese resort hotels. This was my first time staying at a high-end domestic hotel, and I found it to be excellent value for money. Honestly, it felt better than many international brands.
