【5/28｜Camel sunrise × Dead Sea floating × Luxury vacation｜Jordan’s laziest day is also the most luxurious day】 We got up at 7:30 this morning and prepared to join our last trip in Wadi Rum: riding camels to greet the desert sunrise🐫🌄 We thought we would take a jeep into the depths of the desert before riding camels, but as soon as we opened the tent door, we saw camels standing in a row waiting for us at the door. We can really get on camels as soon as we walk out of the door! This is probably the bonus of living in the desert. ⸻ 🌅 Riding a camel to watch the sunrise: the starting point of desert romance It was super cold in the desert in the early morning! I was still shivering while sitting on the camel with my coat on, but the scene was really worth it: the sun in the distance slowly rose, the whole desert was dyed with orange light, and the camel’s shadow was also stretched very long. 📍Tips: • The camel shakes violently when it stands up and kneels down, which is the most dangerous part of the whole experience. Be sure to hold the handle tightly and pay attention to the center of gravity. • There was an older aunt in our group this time. She got off the camel due to back pain. Today, the original driver Hani was temporarily replaced by another driver because his car was still under repair. Hani told me that he would only charge 75 JD today and give him 5 JD tomorrow. Although the temporary change was a bit confusing, we went out to play and just relaxed and didn't care about the 5 JD. It's just that... the tip might be gone XD ⸻ 🧭 Wadi Rum → Dead Sea: About 5 hours drive This is one of the longest single-day moves in Jordan, but it is also one of the most worthwhile routes. After we arrived at the Dead Sea, we stayed at the most luxurious night of this trip - Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa 🌊 Hotel review: • Less than NT$6,000 per night, including breakfast and a sea view balcony room, the CP value is off the charts. • It's really worth it to come to the Dead Sea to relax and stay in a better place! ⸻ 🧂 First experience of floating in the Dead Sea & mud bath! Because it was still very hot outside at 3 or 4 in the afternoon, we chose to have lunch and air conditioning in the hotel first, and waited until about 5 o'clock to change into swimsuits and set off to prepare for the sea. 📍About the Dead Sea: • The Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth, about 430 meters below sea level. • The salt concentration is as high as 30%, which is ten times that of ordinary seawater, so it is almost impossible for people to sink. You really don't need to move at all to float up while lying down! We floated easily in the water, and imitated the tourist photos while floating and reading newspapers (laughing), but it was really **super salty! **It hurts when water drips into my eyes, and I accidentally tasted a little sea water... It's "bitter", that's not sea water, it's salt essence😂 ⸻ 💡 Practical suggestions: ✅ Wear a dark swimsuit! I was too stupid to wear white swimming trunks, and the Dead Sea mud directly "oxidized and changed color" to brown, I regret it so much! ✅ Dead Sea mud is great, but it takes a long time to wash! After applying the mud, the skin is so smooth, but the rinsing time is really long ✅ If you have a wound, you need to apply artificial skin! I highly recommend wearing "artificial skin patches"! This time, because my feet had a small scratch, I could soak in the water safely with the patch on, and it didn't sting at all. It's a must-have! ⸻ 🌇 Infinity Pool × Sunset × Vacation Feeling Exploding After washing off the mud, we went to the hotel's **Infinity Pool** to watch the sunset. The whole golden light sprinkled on the water, which looked like a magazine cover scene. It was really suitable for relaxing, taking pictures, daydreaming, and playing around. ⸻ 🍴 Dinner Buffet: 22 JD Value Feast In the evening, we chose to dine at the hotel buffet restaurant, 22 JD per person, which is considered a medium price in Jordan, but the dishes are rich, there are many desserts to choose from, and the service is fast and friendly, which is very worthwhile. ✔️ Tips: A meal in Jordan's tourist area basically costs 15 to 20 JD, so it is actually cost-effective and comfortable to eat this way! ⸻ 🍸 Sky Bar night drink: not drunk, but the atmosphere is there After dinner, we went to the hotel's Sky Bar to end with a cocktail, but it was really disappointing... The Mojito & Pina Colada ordered at the Italian restaurant at noon was mediocre, and the Negroni and Margarita ordered at night were also mediocre to the point of doubting life 😂 📍Suggestion: This place is not suitable for "drinking", it is more practical to drink juice or sparkling water instead. ⸻ ✨Summary: One-day transfer, full experience Today, we rode a camel to greet the sunrise and transferred all the way to the Dead Sea to float and watch the sunset. Although there were some small episodes in the middle (temporary change of driver, the cocktail was not very good), but the overall satisfaction was still very good. The Dead Sea is really worth a visit. Whether it is the shock of the natural wonders or the novelty of floating on the water, it makes people feel that "life is complete once you come here."
