A spot to view Sigiriya Rock ⛰️

When I was wondering whether to climb Sigiriya Rock, a local person told me that Pidurugala has a more spectacular view, so I decided to go. It turned out to be the right decision! The climb itself requires a fair amount of physical strength, but it took less than an hour, and the panoramic view of Sigiriya Rock that spreads out before you the moment you reach the top of the last rock face is truly spectacular. It has a presence as if it is floating in the air, and it looks great in photos and is a heart-shaking view. There were fewer people than in Sigiriya, so you could quietly enjoy the spectacular view. It is also recommended to go to see the sunrise or sunset, especially in the early morning, the cool air, the sky dyed in the morning glow, and the silhouette of Sigiriya Rock were truly mystical. The entrance fee is also much cheaper than Sigiriya, and it is also attractive to be able to have a local experience. The Buddha statues and ruins you can see along the way are interesting, and it was fun to feel a little adventurous! For those who want to experience a "mix of nature and history" rather than a "tourist destination," Pidurugala is definitely recommended.
