I visited one of Singapore's iconic tourist spots, Merlion Park! The uniquely designed Merlion statue, standing 8.6 meters tall and weighing 70 tons, sprays a magnificent jet of water from its mouth, making it a perfect photo opportunity with Marina Bay as the backdrop. The fish body represents Singapore's origins as a fishing village, while the lion head symbolizes the "Lion City," encapsulating the nation's history in one statue. At night, the neon lights illuminate the Merlion and the bay area, creating a magical scene. Watching the "Spectra" light and water show up close is also highly recommended! The park is open 24 hours and free of charge. During the day, it's bustling with tourists, while at night, local couples gather to enjoy its charm. The atmosphere changes depending on the time of day. It's just a few minutes' walk from Raffles Place Station, and strolling along the coastal promenade to reach the park is refreshing. Within walking distance, you'll find other attractions like the Esplanade, Marina Bay Sands, and Gardens by the Bay.
