See wild kiwis and the aurora borealis! New Zealand's southernmost island 🇳🇿

Stewart Island, the southernmost island of New Zealand! 🏝️ Because it is close to Antarctica, it is cold in winter and cool in summer, but there is a chance to see the aurora and kiwis! I was able to see both the aurora and kiwis at the same time on the day I arrived 💫 (It is more likely to see the aurora in winter, so I was extremely lucky to see it in summer) The island has a population of about 400 people, and there are only a few restaurants and cafes and one foursquare. However, everyone lives a relaxed and comfortable life. It is famous as a place where you can see wild kiwis, and there is a high chance of seeing them if you go on a night kiwi tour! When you go looking for kiwis, look for them with a red light, not a white light 🔍 And above all, Stewart Island has many hiking routes!
