Suwon Hwaseong Haenggung is a temporary palace built by King Jeongjo of the Joseon Dynasty to stay when he visited Suwon to pay his respects to his father, Crown Prince Sado. It was built by King Jeongjo along with Suwon Hwaseong, and is famous for being the largest and most beautiful of the Joseon Dynasty temporary palaces. It is a famous place that has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. The temporary palace is originally open until 6 PM, but it is open at night during the spring and fall seasons. It is open every Friday, not every day, and on weekends (including public holidays).
