Taichung｜Ma Yo Yo Indian Cuisine · Fengjia Night Market

Ma Yo Yo Indian Restaurant now has a branch in Taichung! I noticed it during a business trip to Taipei but didn’t get the chance to try it. Taking advantage of the long weekend, I made a reservation to visit. The decor and setup, both outside and inside the restaurant, exude a strong exotic vibe. If needed, groups of four or more can reserve a private room in advance, which is especially charming! The location is right next to the Kuei Zhi Hotel. The first floor houses the kitchen and spice shop, while the dining area is on the second floor. Brave the spice shop and head inside to find the stairs leading up. The menu offers a wide variety of choices. Don’t worry if you’re unsure; the staff are incredibly friendly and will enthusiastically introduce the dishes. They have a neighborly warmth and will provide recommendations based on your group size, making the experience very pleasant. We dined as a pair and chose two types of curry, one naan, one spiced rice, one spiced grilled chicken, one grilled beef, and one crispy stuffed ball (an Indian street snack). Everything tasted great, especially the meat dishes, which were exceptionally well-prepared with excellent texture. The meal left us about 80% full, which was just right. This spot is not only ideal for a date but also for gatherings with friends or family. There’s a designated parking lot nearby with about 8-10 spaces, though reservations for parking spots aren’t available.
