#cityplaybook My first time of experience with Seniman was 9 years ago in Ubud, Bali (which is where the brand started); and at the time it had yet opened any branches elsewhere. It was already impressive enough, and it’s even more so now—and in Surabaya. I actually didn’t believe it when I passed by the storefront, thinking it’s just a coincidence in the name until I looked up the internet. There are more than dozens of bean selection, and many I tried were excellent in different ways. I particularly want to recommend the Bali Karana Kintamanis, which tastes absolutely winey and fruity. In store it can be ordered in the form of cold brew through affogato set, taster set and seniman latte. Ambience-wise, it retains such a artsy and vital vibe by the rigorous use of color and lines. I don’t only enjoy the great unique taste of the coffee but also simply sitting in the cafe.
