[Tokyo/Takanawa Shrine] Originally an Inari Shrine, the stone gate and stone walls are also a must-see!

Takanawa Shrine is located along National Route 15. It is said to have been founded in the Meiō era (1492-1501) in the middle of the Muromachi period. When it was founded, it was an Inari shrine, but in 1929 it was renamed to its current name. Taishido was built in the Meireki era (1655-1658). It currently exists as Taishido. There is a stone gate and stone wall surrounding the Taishido, which are decorated with magnificent carvings. Directly opposite the shrine are hop cultivation pots. When I asked at the shrine office, I was told that they are growing them as part of a local project, but they do not sell beer.
