Just outside town, this field of rusted steam locomotives tells the story of Bolivia’s mining boom and collapse in the early 20th century. Left to decay in the high desert, the trains sit quietly under the vast sky, weathered by time and salt winds. Walking among them felt like exploring a forgotten industrial graveyard. The silence, the open space, and the history in every corroded bolt made it an unforgettable stop.
