New Year's visit experience on a remote island

This year, I decided to spend the New Year's holidays on a remote island. In summer, the tourist season is in full swing, so hotels and inns are very busy, but in winter there are hardly any guests and it's almost like we have the place to ourselves. After watching the Red and White Song Battle and the New Year's Song, I went to a shrine that an islander told me about at the beginning of the new year. The air at the shrine at night was clear and it felt sacred. After praying at the shrine, I went to receive sacred sake and sweet sake. The shrine staff distributes sacred sake and sweet sake for free to those who come to pray. It seems that it is usually a warehouse, but during the New Year's holidays, they light a stove and welcome visitors. It seems that you can drink it while sitting on a chair, but I decided to drink it on my way home. The warm sweet sake seeps into my body. Rishiri is said to be one of the warmer areas in Hokkaido, but it is still really cold late at night. You can get fortunes, amulets, and goshuin at the shrine office next door, but it was too cold at night so I retreated. The next day I went back and drew a fortune. I ate so I don't have a photo, but I received one red and one white round rice cake that was made on New Year's Day at the shrine. I'm so happy to be able to receive the sake and rice cakes made from rice cake rice that were offered at the shrine at the end of the year. This year, I've been eating and drinking a lot of hand-me-downs from the remote island gods since the beginning of the year, so I think something good will happen.
