Erquan Academy

Erquan Academy was established in 1516 and has now been listed as a cultural relic protection unit of Wuxi City. Judging from the existing remnants of the Haitian Stone House and the ruins of the Ting Song Fang Academy on Mount Hui, the scope at that time was very large. It was originally a temple to commemorate the Yuan Dynasty poet Shao Bao, but was later converted into an academy. Recently, two crabapple trees in the courtyard of Erquan Academy have bloomed. The one on the left is a papaya crabapple, and the one on the right is a Xifu crabapple, which are relatively rare varieties among crabapple flowers.
