This time, we deliberately avoided the crowds and chose "Jian Shan Bie Yuan" at the foot of Longchi Mountain in Yixing. It did not disappoint! The guesthouse is nestled halfway up the hill in Yao Lake Town, surrounded by bamboo forests and tea plantations. Open the window, and you'll be greeted by misty mountain views that instantly wash away urban fatigue. Zen-inspired design details—The interiors feature wooden furniture paired with rustic pottery. The bedrooms are well-lit, and there's even a handwritten tea menu by the bedside. The most stunning feature is the rooftop terrace, where you can watch the sunrise paint the mountains red in the morning and enjoy a starry sky bar at night. The owner’s specially crafted Yixing Red Tea Latte was surprisingly delightful. Rich local experiences! The guesthouse offers free tea plantation tours, where we learned how to shape Zisha teapots with a master craftsman. Dinner at the private restaurant included "Saltwater River Shrimp" and "Black Rice," with ingredients freshly sourced from the mountains. Just a five-minute walk away is the Longchi Mountain cycling trail, where renting a bike and riding through the tea fields was incredibly therapeutic.
