The former residence of Chen Hongqing faces west. It was built in 1870, covering an area of 33,400 square meters and a building area of 21,300 square meters. The hall is divided into three parts: upper, middle and lower, with 88 rooms. The whole building is made of green bricks and black tiles, which has the traditional architectural characteristics of Lingnan. The components are decorated with carved dragons and painted phoenixes, swimming fish and birds, and the patterns of coiled grass and entwined branches are lifelike and exquisite. It is still inhabited by his descendants and is well preserved as a whole. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Guangxi. Chen Hongqing (1861-1928), a native of Lufu Village, Dongxiang Town, Wuxuan County, was awarded the rank of colonel of the army. He successively served as the commander of the left zone of the army of Liuzhou Defense Camp and the commander of the Third Army of Guangxi Autonomous Army. In 1924, Chen Hongqing, who had retired from the army, took the lead in calling on the gentry to raise funds to repair the Wuxuan Confucian Temple, and donated 1,470 Donghao, which was the largest donation at that time. In 1928, the bandits in Dongxiang were rampant. Shi Hualong, the commander of the second regiment of the Xunzhou garrison in Guangxi, led his troops into Dongxiang to suppress the bandits and clear the countryside. Because he was ashamed of his lack of merit and arrested innocent people, he used money to save his life. Chen Hongqing claimed to sue him. Shi Hualong was so angry that he arrested Chen Hongqing on the charge of "communicating with bandits" and secretly escorted him to Wuzhou for murder. He was later buried by his clan in Jitou Mountain, west of Liumiao, Dongxiang.
