On the last day of Eid al-Adha, we drove smoothly along the Yizhao Highway and arrived at Xata to explore this breathtaking hidden paradise 😆! ✨Xata Hidden Gem Travel Guide 📍 Navigation: "Chahanwusu Mongolian Township" (Akesu Valley) 🚗 Transportation: 4WD vehicles are highly recommended, followed by SUVs. Sedans can only go as far as the wooden bridge and cannot cross the water. ⚠️ Reminder: Pack enough snacks and make sure your vehicle is fully fueled/charged~ Our spontaneous decision to visit Xata's hidden gem was totally worth it! The scenery along the way was like a painting, and with few tourists around, we could fully immerse ourselves in the natural beauty. The kids had a wild time playing and connecting with nature—it was pure joy. 🏡 Accommodation Experience: This time, we stayed at the Xata Muye Starlight Homestay, and it was an unforgettable experience! This cozy homestay, recommended by a friend, is pretty much the standard in the village. The owners were incredibly warm and attentive. After check-in, the adults enjoyed tea in the courtyard while the kids played on the swings and ran around—the yard was full of life. The host not only served us delicious fruit but also grilled lamb skewers for the guests personally. Such hospitality is rare—it felt like being part of a big family. The homestay was fully booked that night, which speaks to its popularity. Breakfast is outsourced and served about a 4-minute drive away, with a rich spread catering to all tastes. Just remember not to go too late, or some dishes might run out. Our day in Xata was unforgettable, filled with stunning scenery and the warmth of the homestay experience.
