#cherryblossom25 Komoro Kaikoen is this gorgeous, slightly rugged park that feels like a well-kept secret. Built inside the old Komoro Castle grounds, it’s lower in elevation compared to many other famous spots, so the blooms come earlier and thicker. Ancient stone gates and crumbling walls are wrapped in pink, giving the place a slightly melancholic beauty — like nature gently reclaiming history. There’s even a tiny amusement park tucked inside, which gives the whole thing a quirky charm. I wandered through misty sakura tunnels and even got caught in a short spring rain, making the petals stick to the old stones — incredibly photogenic. It took over a section that was originally part of the Shinetsu Main Line and continues to operate as an important means of transportation for the region. Historic townscapes such as Old Karuizawa and Komoro remain along the line, and the view of Mount Asama from the train window is beautiful. Stations and track facilities that evoke the days when the Asama express train ran can be seen here and there, making it quietly popular with railway fans. The tourist train Rokumon is also in operation. It is a relaxing line where you can travel while feeling the local atmosphere and the flow of time.

#Spring0yentrip Komoro is a quiet town in Nagano Prefecture, where history and nature are in harmony. The first place we visited was Komoro Castle Park. Here, we strolled through the park, which spreads out around the castle ruins, and enjoyed the beautiful nature of each season. It was especially beautiful during the spring cherry blossom season, when the area was bustling with people watching the flowers. Within the park, the historic Sannomaru ruins and the castle moat remain, giving the place a traditional feel. We also visited Nostalgia Garden in the center of town, where we were able to walk through the buildings from the early Showa period and the quaint streets, and the historic atmosphere of the townscape soothed our hearts. Around Komoro Station, we could enjoy dishes made with local ingredients, and the Shinshu soba, a specialty of Komoro, was particularly delicious. Komoro is a peaceful town where history and nature blend together, making it the perfect place to spend some relaxing time.

This is a small temple located in the mountains of Nagano Prefecture. It also features Nunobiki Kannon, which appears in old tales. It is not very well known, so there are few tourists. From the parking lot, you will climb a steep mountain path (with some stairs) for about 15-20 minutes, but the autumn leaves 🍁 and fresh greenery are very beautiful. You can also see small waterfalls and rare rock formations, and the view from the top is spectacular. If the weather is good, you can see the townscape and mountains in the distance, which is amazing. You can easily find your way there by searching online. There are also day-trip hot springs nearby, so you can take your time sightseeing. Climbing from the bottom path is tough unless you have strong legs, but it seems you can drive up to near the top on a narrow road. If you are in the area, please stop by.

I went for a drive through Takamine Plateau, which is on the border between Nagano and Gunma prefectures, via the Cherry Park Line driving course 🚙 The weather in the mountains changed from sunny to cloudy, but the view from the top was beautiful ⛰️ The road is quite winding and driving is difficult, so I recommend visiting during the day! I arrived at Nagano Station and was hungry, so I went to a commercial facility near the station first💨 I love soba, so I thought that soba is the best in Shinshu, so I ordered soba right away🤤 Walnuts are famous, so I ordered walnut soba! It was creamy and very easy to eat, and I ate it all in one go! I heard that the regular portion was quite large, so I was scared and ordered a small, but I was able to eat the regular portion, and I regretted it because it was so delicious😳 It was really delicious, so I recommend it to anyone who goes to Nagano! Speaking of Nagano, it's soba! So I went to the "Soba Restaurant You Can Get To by Helicopter" that is famous for the commercial featuring Yamada Takayuki and Oguri Shun! The restaurant is located at the top of a mountain, and on weekends, there is a line as soon as it opens. My recommendation is the "Oroshi Bukkake" - grated daikon radish topped with thick soba broth and eaten with soba. On my second visit, I was thinking how delicious it was, when lo and behold, someone actually came by helicopter to eat there!!! This time we set up in the rain and it was raining all day, but our shoes didn't get all messy and the pegs fit in just right. It's a gravel site, so the water drains well.
