This secluded spot has the advantage of being situated on the Cape Naturaliste promontory, allowing for stunning sunrises rather than the typical sunsets of Western Australia, making it well worth waking up early to witness.

#summervacay We arrived here about 30 minutes after leaving Canal Rocks and spent a good 1 hour and 30 minutes exploring the lighthouse area and the whale watching route. After parking, there are two paths: one to the right and one to the left. The path to the right leads to the lighthouse entrance, and you need to pay to go inside. The path to the left is a walking track and lookout point. We didn't read the signs carefully and trusted our navigation, thinking we could just loop around to the lighthouse. Turns out, you can't! However, by a happy accident, our navigation led us directly to the Whale Lookout. Even though it wasn't whale watching season, this vast expanse of deep blue ocean was incredibly therapeutic and beautiful! 💙 Just a heads up, this Whale Track takes about an hour round trip, so it's probably best to go only if it's actually whale season. 🐋 #WesternAustralia #NaturalisteLighthouse #CapeNaturaliste #WhaleLookout

I spent a weekend in Dunsborough with a few friends, and it was exactly the kind of escape we all needed. ✌🏻 We rented an Airbnb just a short walk from the beach — the kind of place where you wake up to birdsong and drink coffee on the deck in the morning sun. ☀️ Our days were slow and perfect. We explored Meelup Beach and swam at Eagle Bay, where the water was crystal-clear and calm. One of the highlights was a long, lazy lunch at Eagle Bay Brewing Co. — good food, cold drinks, and an incredible view over the countryside. It was one of those moments where everything just felt right. 🤌🏼 Dunsborough gave us the perfect mix of beach, nature, great food, and quality time. Meelup beach is just gorgeous, beautiful clear water on a good day. There's rocks to clamber over, peppermint trees to sit under on the grassy area, the beach sand is soft and like velvet on your feet, can get hot though! Very busy in peak season like today, lots of people, difficulty getting parking. So if the beach is too crowded go for a drive along the coast to Eagle Bay, Bunkers Bay, Castle Rock is usually quieter. The Meelup National Park Trail offers a walk from Old Dunsborough beach along the coastline to Eagle Bay. It is an easy walk - out and back its about 15km. It gives ocean views and a peaceful bush experience. Along the way back, I came upon the back entrance to Lot 80 restaurant. It was a very welcome pitstop and the coffee was outstanding. This walk should be started early morning to enjoy the clear morning light on the ocean. I thoroughly enjoyed watching pods of dolphin leaping out of the water at Castle Rock. #australiatravel

It was a trip to Busselton, Australia 🇦🇺 with family. We started our Busselton adventure with a visit to the Busselton Jetty ⛴️ one of the most iconic landmarks in Western Australia. Stretching 1.8 kilometers into the crystal-clear water 💦 of Geographe Bay, the jetty offered us breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline. As the sun ☀️ began to rise, the soft morning light created the perfect conditions for photos of the jetty stretching out into the horizon. We couldn’t resist taking a few shots from the shore, as well as from the end of the jetty itself, where we explored the fascinating Busselton Jetty Underwater Observatory. The vibrant underwater ecosystem was a perfect contrast to the golden light ✨ making it a photographer’s dream. 📍Busselton Jetty, Busselton WA 6280, Australia We then headed to Dunsborough Beach, just a short drive 🚗 from Busselton. The turquoise waters and white sand were absolutely stunning, and we spent hours capturing the tranquil beach 🏖️ scenes. It’s a fantastic location for both wide-angle shots of the coastline and close-up photos 📸 of the surrounding flora and fauna. The area is perfect for beach lovers, and we even saw a few kangaroos 🦘 grazing near the shore, which made for an interesting photo opportunity 📸 I would recommend walking along the coast towards Castle Rock for a more secluded spot, perfect for those looking to capture a peaceful, natural environment 😍 📍Dunsborough Beach, Dunsborough WA 6281, Australia We then visited Meelup Beach 🏝️ located a short distance from Dunsborough. This hidden gem 💎 is one of the most picturesque beaches in the region, with its clear waters and protected cove. The beach is perfect for capturing sunset photos 📸 as the sky turns a vibrant mix of oranges, pinks, and purples. We also spent some time walking along the beach, taking photos of the jagged rock formations and the occasional bird perched on the water’s edge. The peaceful atmosphere here made it the ideal location to relax and enjoy the surroundings 🙌 📍Meelup Beach, Meelup WA 6281, Australia We also explored the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, located at the northern tip of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park. The lighthouse offers spectacular views over the Indian Ocean 🌊 and the rugged coastline. Australia Dunsborough is a beautiful holiday city, clean, wide beach, many beaches, can't finish in one day. The people are lovely, friendly, and orderly. Definitely have to go back again. The air and atmosphere are super good. Can take a deep breath of oxygen. Beautiful, very beautiful, so beautiful. Very beautiful. Not crowded.

#familytrips2024 When in Perth, I always suggest to friends with families to drop by Meelup Farmhouse. It is such a beautiful and wonderful place where both young and old can be up close with the farm animals there. The animals are tame and you can even get to pet them. It's an awesome experience for kids especially, as they learn more about these farm animals. Some seen were silkies, goats, Alpacas, etc. The place is well maintained and it's a fun place for families!
