Visit the way of life of the Chinese people in Yaowarat through the museum at the “Yaowarat History Center” The exhibition tells the story of the Chinese community who brought their mats and pillows and sailed a junk to settle in Yaowarat on the land of Thailand from the past to the present. The area is divided into 6 rooms according to the time period/chronology of events: Room 1 Growing up under the royal patronage, Room 2 The origin of the Chinese community of Rattanakosin (1782 - 1851), Room 3 The path to the golden age (1851 - 1957), Room 4 The legend of life Hall of Fame, Room 5 The royal patronage and Room 6 Yaowarat today ✨Highlights: There are ancient Chinese costumes to wear. But the service fee is put in the donation box, depending on your faith. 📍Address: Located on the 2nd floor of the Phra Maha Mondop at Wat Traimit Witthayaram Worawihan, 661 Charoen Krung Road, Talat Noi Subdistrict, Samphanthawong District, Bangkok 🕰️Opening hours: Open: Every Tuesday - Sunday from 08.30 - 16.30 hrs. (Closed every Monday) 💰Average price per person: Free admission for Thais, 140 baht for foreigners (140 baht combined ticket: 100 baht for the exhibition and the history center, 40 baht for the golden Buddha) 🗓️Travel planning: Car: Drive across Khlong Phdung Krung Kasem and turn into Thai-Chinese Friendship Road. Drive straight ahead, the temple will be on the right-hand side. There is quite a bit of parking. It is recommended to travel by MRT subway, which is the most convenient. Public transport: Line 35, 507 Subway (MRT): Blue Line, get off at Hua Lamphong Station Take exit number 1, cross Khlong Phdung Krung Kasem, go straight to Thai-Chinese Friendship Road and walk for about 200 meters until you reach Wat Traimit (the temple will be on the right hand side). #Yaowarat #Museum
