The Na Phra Lan Tunnel or Maharat Tunnel is an underground pedestrian tunnel connecting the Grand Palace to important surrounding areas such as Tha Chang, Sanam Luang, and the City Pillar Shrine. The interior is beautifully decorated, has air conditioning, clean restrooms, an elevator for the elderly, and historical exhibitions.
