From the recreated Cheorwon Station, you can take the monorail to the observation deck on the mountain. The town was located on the current Civil Control Line, and Cheorwon Station was one of the largest stations on the Gyeongwon Line (Gyeongseong-Wonsan). Because it is located north of the 38th parallel, it became part of North Korea's territory in 1945 and became a storage area for military supplies.
