Lichuan, I came to Gejiu for you, the place you wanted to visit!

I learned about Gejiu through the TV drama "Meet Mr. Lichuan." On my self-drive trip from Xishuangbanna to Mile, I deliberately chose to stop in Gejiu for a night. Gejiu, also known as Yunnan's "Little Hong Kong," features a nostalgic one-yuan "Time Tunnel" cable car🚡—a local public transport. Riding the old-fashioned cable car alongside residents felt like stepping back into the childhood memories of the '90s. After getting off the cable car, you can overlook Gejiu's own "Victoria Harbour," with Laoyin Mountain Scenic Area across the way. Due to rain on the day of my visit, I couldn’t make it to the old Gejiu Station as planned. The rushed schedule left me with some regrets, but next time, I’ll take more time to fully experience this city on the Tropic of Cancer. That way, I can better tell you about the Gejiu I see!
