Staying at a luxurious private villa in Taihu's Xishan was the best reward I could give myself! From the moment I stepped into the community, I was enveloped by the rich Jiangnan water town ambiance—white walls, black tiles, and waterscapes all around, as if walking into a traditional ink painting. The villa we booked was a two-story design with a private courtyard and swimming pool. At night, lying by the pool gazing at the starry sky while listening to the sounds of nature, time seemed to slow down. The interior decor followed a modern luxury style, featuring a full set of smart appliances, an open kitchen, and even a professional-grade coffee machine, which was a delightful surprise. The most unique feature was the balcony design—step outside, and you're greeted by the stunning view of Taihu Lake. In the early morning, when the mist lingers, the entire lake looks like it's draped in a sheer veil, creating an unreal beauty. The service was also top-notch. The butler prepared a local specialty breakfast in advance and could arrange activities like lake tours and loquat picking.
