Changhewei, Hekou Village, Longnan, Jiangxi

Changhewei was built during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty (1821-1850) by the ancestor Ye Changhe, who moved from the local Gangshangwei. Changhewei has a square layout, facing northeast to southwest, with a width of 26.5 meters and a depth of 26 meters, covering an area of 680 square meters. The enclosure is two stories high, about 7 meters. Originally, there were three-story turrets at the four corners. After the three turrets and the horizontal houses on the south, north, and rear sides collapsed, they were rebuilt into bungalows. The front turret on the north side is well preserved. The main gate has a stone gate frame and stone pillow, with an arched top. A two-story ancestral hall with a patio is built in the center of the enclosure. Two-story residential buildings are built around it, connected by an inner corridor. It is an immovable cultural relic of Longnan County.
