Nice perfectly embodies the charm of southern France. The azure Mediterranean Sea, warm sunlight, and the picturesque scenery of red rooftops and pastel-toned buildings instantly filled my heart with excitement upon arrival. I started by strolling along the Promenade des Anglais, a coastal walkway. As I walked along the road parallel to the sea, the gentle breeze and the sound of waves accompanied me. Simply sitting on a white chair and gazing at the sea was enough to bring happiness. The Old Town (Vieux Nice) offered a completely different charm. Narrow, winding alleys were lined with yellow and orange buildings, and quaint little cafes and shops were scattered throughout. At the Cours Saleya Market, the aroma of local fruits, flowers, and herbs filled the air, allowing me to experience the daily life of Nice up close. From the Colline du Château viewpoint atop the hill, I could see the Nice coastline and the old town at a glance. At sunset, the sea and sky turned a brilliant shade of red, creating a scene as romantic as a movie. I ended the day at a beachfront restaurant, savoring a fresh seafood platter paired with rosé wine. Nice is a city where you don’t need to do anything extraordinary—simply staying and walking around is enough to make it special.
