Cathedrals with blue onion cap in Poznan

#europeonbudget It's crazy to think this is where Poland basically started - you can still see the old baptismal font where it all went down over 1000 years ago. The inside smells like candles and old wood. Sunlight comes through the stained glass in these colorful patches that move across the floor as the day goes on. My favorite time is late afternoon when it's quiet and you can hear the river outside. There's this one chapel in the back that always has fresh flowers - no idea why, but I like checking what's there each time. And if you're lucky, you might catch the organist practicing with all the wrong notes, which somehow makes it feel more real. Best part: the admission is free.
