Located in the heart of Rome within the historic Palazzo Fonseca, originally built in 1620 and later a gathering place for Italian elites in the 1800s, Orient Express La Minerva Hotel has hosted illustrious guests like American author Herman Melville during his global travels. French writer Stendhal also found inspiration here for his work *Walks in Rome*. Marking Orient Express's 142nd anniversary, the hotel will open on April 7, 2025, as a strategic collaboration between Accor and LVMH. Situated at Piazza della Minerva 69, just steps from the Pantheon, it features 93 rooms and 36 suites, offering the first stop for a journey of refined tranquility. The design is helmed by renowned French artist and architect Hugo Toro. Rome never rushes to tell its stories—it grinds centuries into golden dust, sprinkling it over every weathered stone step. Similarly, the Orient Express brand, born from Accor and LVMH’s partnership, has transformed this 17th-century palace into the luxurious La Minerva, as if the Eternal City itself were handing travelers a gilded bookmark.
