#July Travel Support Fund Seoul International Garden Expo – Corporate Garden Tour Review🦋 Focusing on Henkel’s ‘Picnic Ground’ and Stream and Pond Gardens While visiting the Seoul International Garden Expo, I also got to see garden spaces created by companies, and among them were **Henkel’s ‘Picnic Ground’** and garden works that recreated streams and ponds. **Henkel’s ‘Picnic Ground’** was a warm space where everyday leisure and nature were combined. The composition that looked like a mat spread out on the grass, trees that created shade, and various props that added to the picnic atmosphere were cutely placed, allowing me to feel like I was taking a break with nature even in the city. It was attractive because it was not just a space to appreciate plants, but a garden where I actually wanted to stay. I got the impression that the company was sensually conveying a message that connected nature and people.🌳 In addition, the works that harmoniously incorporated streams and ponds into the garden created a very static and peaceful atmosphere. The water flowed quietly, and around it, children and adults were dipping their feet in the water, stacking stones, and having fun in the stream.🔮 These gardens went beyond simple landscaping and showed the potential of being a space where people can interact with nature and contemplate. Even though they were gardens created by companies, they didn’t feel commercial, but rather, I felt that they were trying to convey a philosophy and sense of responsibility toward nature. It was very meaningful to experience a new form of garden created by nature, humans, and companies together through the Seoul International Garden Expo. I hope that there will be more gardens like this in the future, so that we can have more opportunities to enjoy nature in the city.🍁
