It was originally the private residence of the Nezu family, and the Aoyama Garden has retained its original appearance. 🪷 The exhibition hall on the first floor is a special exhibition of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, with many exhibits from Japan; the bronze artifacts on the second floor are very beautiful, especially the bronze double-ram statue made into a ticket pattern, which is very exquisite. The Nezu Museum designed by Kengo Kuma does not have many exhibition halls, but I personally think that the architecture and Japanese garden are the key points. Starting from the bamboo forest at the entrance, the bamboo forest and gravel corridor separate the noise outside. 🎋The elegant grey new building blends in with the green mountain garden, with winding paths and lush vegetation, adding tranquility and Zen. There are also leisure pavilions, stone sculptures, nunneries, torii, shrines, and small boats moored in the pond, giving people the feeling of a secret garden hidden in a busy city. There is a NEZUCAFE in the courtyard. You must go there for a cup of coffee after the exhibition. The floor-to-ceiling glass windows provide a clear view of the courtyard, and overhead is a translucent Japanese paper ceiling, which is unique in style.
