There are quite a few uphill sections on the way to the Golden Gate Bridge, but the scenery is so beautiful that it doesn't feel that difficult if you enjoy the scenery. 3️⃣ Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge (Photos 8-10) The Golden Gate Bridge is divided into a bike path, a car path, and a pedestrian path, so you have to choose your path carefully. The next stop was the Alcatraz Island tour. This former prison was eerie and interesting, like a scene from a movie. Muir Woods National Monument is just a few miles north of San Francisco. The monument preserves one of the last remaining ancient redwood forests in the Bay Area. Some of the redwoods are nearly 1,000 years old and reach heights of more than 250 feet. I booked a half day tour package in order to get there. The main track is easy to explore and probably takes about 1 hour to do the whole thing, but of course there are longer tracks to pick. It’s a great outing choice across the young and old, couples and families. What are you still waiting for?!
