During my trip to Suzhou, I specifically chose to stay at the "Jingxin Valley B&B," tucked away by the shores of Taihu Lake, and it did not disappoint! Nestled in a serene valley surrounded by bamboo forests, the B&B offers breathtaking views of the lake and mountains right outside the window, instantly washing away the hustle and bustle of city life. What impressed me the most was the design of the B&B—a perfect blend of traditional Suzhou courtyard style and modern minimalism. The use of wooden furniture paired with soft linen and cotton decor creates a Zen-like ambiance. I highly recommend the rooftop tea room, where you can brew a pot of Biluochun tea and gaze at the sailboats on Taihu Lake, as if time has come to a standstill. The room amenities are made from high-quality natural materials, with beds that strike the perfect balance between softness and firmness. Even the bath products are custom-made herbal series, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. The dining experience is another highlight! The B&B serves dishes made with organic vegetables grown on-site, prepared using Suzhou-style cooking techniques. The "Silverfish Scrambled Eggs" was so tender and flavorful that it left a lasting impression. The owner also offers guided tours of nearby trails and tea ceremony classes.
