Japan Travel Review Osaka | The city that makes my heart smile 🍙🍁🎠 Have you ever? Just stepping out of the airport and smelling the unfamiliar air And suddenly your heart starts beating faster Osaka… The city that makes us feel that way from the first second we arrive No loud announcements, no loud talking, no rushing Just the cool breeze and the smiles of the Japanese aunties waving at the bus Osaka doesn’t scream for us to love, but makes us fall in love with it before we even know it 🍃 ⸻ 🧸 Unspeakable cuteness, but captivating hearts that we can’t escape Osaka is a city that doesn’t try to look cute Because it’s naturally cute Whether it’s a small bakery on the corner or the sound of a bell when someone opens the door, it’s all a truly Japanese feel that makes us feel very warm Just walking in a small alley, there are trinkets arranged in an orderly manner There are pastel-colored cafes hidden on the corners of buildings, an old man standing in front of the shop selling crepes, and there are cats sunbathing next to the shrine Everything is like a scene from a movie we've dreamed of. 🎥🍂 ⸻ 🍜 Osaka = The city where the stomach is never empty For those who love to eat... Osaka is heaven! Starting with the city's icon, Takoyaki, round, bouncy, hot Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, bite into it and smell the fragrant sauce, with bouncy squid inside, sprinkled with dried fish that dances on the surface of the ball... The feeling is like "Oh my gosh, it's so delicious!!" 🐙🔥 Next is Okonomiyaki or Japanese pizza that puts everything we love into one sheet, whether it's pork, eggs, vegetables, sauce, and melted cheese, baked hot until the whole shop smells good, like a grill that bakes happiness into every bite of dough 🤤 While walking, you'll find a shop selling green tea soft cream that smells so good~ Eating it makes you feel like you're walking in a tea forest. Some shops have daifuku with a soft red bean filling, some shops have crepes with fresh strawberries. Topped with a light sweet sauce… I almost forgot to take a picture of it. 🍦🍓 ⸻ 🛍️ Shopping is fun, life is very happy. Osaka is not only a city of food, but also a city of cute things! The shopping area like Shinsaibashi or Amerikamura is a paradise for fashion lovers, cafes, and strange things that are too cute to resist. Walk a few steps and you will find a quality second-hand clothing store, a cat cafe, a dog cafe, a bear cafe (all kinds of cute), or even a postcard shop with only hand-drawn patterns that we have never seen before. 🐾 Of course, Don Quijote is a must-visit spot. If you don't go in, it's like you haven't been there! Inside, there are everything from daily necessities to rare Japanese snacks. There are masks, cream-filled fish snacks, Kit Kats with strange flavors, and even raw fish-shaped keychains… Walking around makes you feel lost. But my hand kept putting things in the basket 😆💸 ⸻ 🌃 Dotonbori… The darker it gets, the more my heart melts Dotonbori at night… It’s like another version of Osaka. 🏮 Colorful neon lights reflecting on the water surface in the canal, the sounds of people talking, laughter, the sound of takoyaki vendors flipping dough on the stove, everything is so lively but not chaotic, it’s like everyone is living their own life at their own pace. We stood on the bridge with the Glico sign behind us and smiled involuntarily — because it was really “happy”. 💫 ⸻ ☕ Cute cafes that make you want to sit there all day If you ask if Osaka has cute cafes, the answer is… so cute that you’ll cry! 😭💕 Each cafe has a different theme. Some are decorated in a warm vintage style, some are minimalistic Korean style, and some are like walking into a storybook world. There are bookshelves, soft sofas, the aroma of coffee, and fluffy cloud-like cakes. ☁️🍰 We used to sit in a small shop in a quiet neighborhood, order a berry cake and a hot latte, and then take out a notebook to draw and enjoy the atmosphere, sunlight, and soft music. It's like the whole world is gently hugging us. 💕 ⸻ 🍃 Osaka...is a place to rest your heart in this world. Osaka is not the biggest city in Japan, nor is it the most modern. But Osaka is a city where "little happiness is everywhere." It's a city with cute cats sunbathing in front of a shrine. It's a city where strangers smile at us in ramen shops. It's a city where just buying daifuku feels like getting a hug. It's a city where we don't want to rush around because every corner is so cute. 🌸 ⸻ 💌 Thank you Osaka for making our hearts bloom.
