Hidden Gem in Osaka! Ikeda Mayuyama Park's Stunning Natural Experience

This time, I visited Ikeda City in Osaka and made a special trip to the renowned "Back Garden of Osaka"—Mayuyama Park. It truly lived up to its reputation! Surrounded by lush greenery, this hilltop park is just a short distance from the city center, yet it feels like a world away from the hustle and bustle, making it the perfect retreat for urban dwellers to relax and rejuvenate. The hiking trails are gentle and easy to navigate, lined with cherry blossoms, maple trees, and azaleas, offering unique scenery throughout the seasons. I chose to visit during the evening, and the golden hues of the sunset filtering through the forest were breathtaking. At the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views of Ikeda City and the distant Osaka Plain. As night falls, the city lights gradually illuminate, creating an incredibly romantic atmosphere. Within the park, there's also the Mayuyama Zoo, ideal for family outings, where you can observe adorable animals like lemurs and capybaras up close. At the foot of the mountain lies the birthplace of the famous Ikeda Ramen. I highly recommend trying their rich tonkotsu broth for a delightful culinary experience.
