Osaka, a love that is so delicious that you can't stop smiling There is a city in Japan that makes our hearts beat without our knowing it. It is not as luxurious as Tokyo, not as peaceful as Kyoto. But it has something like a close friend... who is ready to invite us to eat, shop, laugh and smile all day long. That city is "Osaka" 💖 This is not just a travel review, but a record of the memories of a small heart. That went to walk in a big city that is warm and has cuteness in every corner, from the smell of takoyaki to the Glico sign, big runners. ⸻ Dotonbori & Namba: This area is a happy area. The first step into Dotonbori is the sound of our hearts beating irregularly! The lights of the restaurant signs are brightly shining like they have magical energy. 🍥 I walked past the Glico sign and felt like I was reaching the finish line of something... It might be a victory that I have stepped foot in Osaka. 555 As I walked, I started to smell the fragrant smell of takoyaki wafting towards my nose. It smelled so good that my feet were crooked from the original path. I ran into the shop immediately! Takoyaki here is not just a simple round ball. It is “love in the form of food”. Big, hot balls. Crispy outside, soft and chewy inside. Full of squid, sweet and salty sauce, sprinkled with dancing dried fish on the round ball, melting your heart. 🐙💕 Then walk to Namba. This area is a collection of department stores, clothing stores, cafes, and many cute knick-knack shops. There is a fashion hat shop that when you try it on, it feels like you have become a Japanese cartoon character. I wore it and took pictures ten times. Even if I didn’t buy it, I would still be happy. Haha ⸻ Shinsaibashi: A world of cute shopping Shinsaibashi Street is where our hearts will shine as soon as we step in. There are shops decorated so cutely that you can’t resist! There are big brands, Japanese fashion stores, character stores, and knick-knack stores that look like they came out of social media that we have saved on our devices. When I walked into the Sanrio store, the world immediately turned light pink. 🐰🎀 I stared at Kitty for 5 minutes before deciding to buy a cute little phone case. And also bought stickers, notepads, and pencils that I didn't use but bought because they were cute (does anyone understand this feeling?) When I was tired, I stopped by a small cafe to rest, sipped iced green tea in a clear glass with a Winnie the Pooh pattern, and the cake served on a small flower-patterned plate was so good for my heart! I wanted to take the whole plate home, lol ⸻ Universal Studios Japan: The Big World of the Little Kid in Us Who says adults can't have fun at theme parks? I have to disagree loudly! USJ It's a theme park where our hearts will turn into bouncy soft-serve ice cream as soon as we enter. 🍦💫 The Harry Potter zone is a real world of magic. When you walk in, you want to shout "Wingardium Leviosa!" so that your wand can fly. Hogsmeade is like something out of a movie. There's pumpkin juice, brooms, a hat shop, and a very large Hogwarts Castle. I tried the Flying Dinosaur ride with half-courage. When I got on, I screamed before it even started. When I got off, I almost collapsed. But I told my friends, "Oh, it was so much fun. Let's do it again (if I have the energy)." 🎢 There's also a minion zone that looks like a yellow balloon city. Everyone who sees it screams. Wherever you go, the sound of "Bido Bido~" is always in my head. Haha ⸻ Osaka Castle: Authentic Japanese elegance After all the chaos and frillyness, it's time to absorb something peaceful. At "Osaka Castle", a castle standing tall in the middle of the city. The white castle with a green and gold roof, looking at it makes you feel like you've traveled back in time to the samurai era. 👘🌿 The path around the castle is full of big trees. It's very shady. I saw an old man and an old woman having a picnic under the trees. I saw Japanese children wearing yukata running around. It was a warm image that seemed to come out of a fairy tale. I just sat and looked at the view and felt, "This is the Japan I want to see with my own eyes." ⸻ There's no such thing as a break when it comes to eating. In Osaka, walking is equal to finding something to eat! This is a paradise for cute foodies. Every shop has cute decorations, delicious food, and friendly smiling staff 🧁🍜 Okonomiyaki in a small alley is the highlight! They make it fresh on the stove, pour the oozing sauce, sprinkle seaweed, and top with a fried egg. It feels like simple food but delicious like your mom made it for you when you're the hungriest in the world. There's also rich ramen that makes you feel warm from the first bite, making you want to hug the chef, lol. And of course, soft cream and pudding are my favorite desserts. You can eat them all day without feeling guilty because they're too cute not to eat. ⸻ Cafes, Characters, and Happiness in a Cup of Coffee Osaka has a lot of cute cafes. They're not just delicious, but also decorated so cutely that you'll be on Instagram all the time. ☕🌸 There's a cat-themed cafe where you'll be greeted by cats with the fragrant smell of baked goods. There's an art cafe that serves lattes with cartoon designs that are even more detailed than hand-drawn. And there's a cafe that serves cakes in clear boxes with fresh flowers. You almost don't dare to eat them because they're so pretty! I sat writing a postcard at a cafe with a cute piece of mango cake. And it feels like time has stopped there. It feels so simple and good. ⸻ Osaka in my opinion: A city that makes us lovelier without realizing it What makes Osaka different from others is not just the place, but the “feelings” we get from the people, the food, the atmosphere, and the little details that make our hearts smile every day. Osaka is not just a tourist city, but a friend who embraces us with lights, delicious food, and the smiles of strangers. It is a place that makes us believe that there are always cute things waiting for us to go out and meet. And most importantly… It is a place that makes us fall in love with the happiest version of ourselves. ⸻ Osaka… See you again. I promised myself that I would definitely come back.
