Convenient base for exploring Yamaguchi

#summervacay Hotel Route Inn Yamaguchi at Yuda Onsen is perfectly situated for exploring Yamaguchi. While it's about 15 minutes' walk from the station (or a 5-minute taxi ride for around ¥800), the location is ideal for those traveling by car. The staff are friendly, although they speak limited English, so we relied on a translator. The hotel is within walking distance (about 8 minutes) to nearby restaurants for dinner, and there's a Seven-Eleven and FamilyMart nearby for convenience. The rooms are slightly larger than standard Japanese hotel rooms, with a comfortable sofa chair and a soft, cozy bed. We enjoyed the relaxing hot spring facilities. While the breakfast was just okay, we didn't mind given the affordable price and the fact that it was included. A bonus is that the staff can arrange taxis to JR Station. Without luggage, it's lovely to stroll around the town and take in the atmosphere. Overall, I give the hotel 4 out of 5 stars, deducting one star for the location being a bit far from the station.
